January 2011 Luncheon Seminar

Calgary (Blackfoot Inn):  Wednesday January 12, 2011

Edmonton (Royal Glenora):  Thursday January 13, 2011

Program

ACI, Alberta Chapter is kicking off 2011 by resuming their popular luncheon seminar series in Calgary and Edmonton.

Performance Concrete Mix Submittals is a controversial and sometimes confusing topic in the concrete industry.  There are two alternatives for specifying and ordering concrete:

1. Alternative 1 (performance) requires the concrete supplier to assume responsibility for performance of the concrete as delivered and the contractor to assume responsibility for the concrete in place.

2. Alternative 2 (prescriptive) is used when the owner assumes responsibility for concrete.

Virtually all concrete placed in Alberta is specified and ordered using some form of Alternative 1.  At the January luncheon, Dave Robson will discuss the use of the performance concrete mix submittal by designers, contractors and producers.

Capacity is limited.  Please pre-register for the session and pay in advance if at all possible.  This helps ACI, Alberta Chapter (a volunteer, nonprofit organization) reduce administration and thus expenses.  Early bird registration deadline is December 17, 2011 so register online now to save:
